AC1 Chronograph – Yes, Alex is building a community, a club of like minded watch collectors for affordable watches. I agree with your comments and feelings in the AC1 article. By the way, I bought the “Ivory White” version (#235) in Mar 2025 and the “Rose” version (#168) in May 2025. I am extremely happy with these 2 watches – the quality, craftsmanship, material, design…etc at this price point is unbelievable! Looking forward to the AC2 in “stone” dials.

I definitely appreciate the narrative and the story structure, BUT I don’t fully agree with the pitch. For some reason, I’ve always struggled to appreciate this watch. After all it’s a stainless steel timepiece rolling on a quartz movement (Timex does the same). Nowadays, The Panthère has been essentially worn by women to display a social status and I am affraid there is nothing luxurious about it.

I have exactly the same opinion as you on the point you made about Thierry Strern because he really has to respect people’s opinion and tastes differ. For me I was expecting something more but the cubitus didn’t please me very much it looks too loud.
